I had meant to get this out sooner, but was having technical difficulties loading video from my phone onto the blog.

On Tuesday the first student groups were able to put their ROVs in the tank.  This was a very exciting day as the sight of the first operational, submersed ROV caused a ripple of momentum through the class.  Student groups began racing to have their ROV in the water.  At the end of the class period I had to urge students to leave and head to their next classes as they wanted to keep working.  Below are some videos of student work..  In the first video, students are dry testing their electrical work in preparation for placing their ROV in the tank.  In the second, students are figuring out how they connected their switches in their control box.  The third has a team eagerly adjusting their ballast so they can be in the tank.  The final video shows a group diagnosing some operational issues
