Due to the leak, the tank was moved outside yesterday.  With water in it today, groups were able to put their first renderings of their ROVs in the water today.  It was fun to see the students' excitement over operating their ROVs.  Groups who had not finished felt a sense of urgency to complete their tasks.

Here is a pic of an ROV after it had gone for its inaugural dive.  They call it the "Manta Ray" for obvious reasons.

Groups working inside continued with siring.  This has been an issue for many groups as it takes lots of patience.  Sometimes muscle fatigue takes over and the students' fingers begin to give out on them. We have gone through LOTS of wiring supplies.  I bought a fresh 250 female disconnects and we are on our last box of 50.  I have more on the way for the AP classes.

The AP classes started building their control tethers today.  They need to thread 50' of 8 strands of 12-gauge wire through 50' of braided nylon rope.  I'll have some pictures of that process tomorrow.
