We spent some more time in lab today to allow other groups to collect data.  Below is a video of the data as it it collected on the LabQuest2.


If you look carefully, you will see that the the top graph that is produced showed distance traveled as a function of time and the bottom graph shows how the velocity changes with time.  From these graphs students can determine the top speed and the acceleration of their ROV.



Here is an image of what the students see when the data from is transferred to LoggerPro.  Using this program, students can apply various analytic tools such as curve fit or linearization that will allow the students to more easily interpret the motion.  Of course, none of the data means anything unless the students can interpret and explain the results.
