Yesterday, Wednesday (1027), was our fist visit to the aquatic center.  During this visit, students were able to:

  1. observe the effect of their 50 ft. tether on the performance of their ROV
  2. begin to get comfortable operating their ROV
  3. operate their ROV in each test scenario
  4. make specific observations regarding what they did and did not like about the performance of their ROV
Here are some images of the ROV's in the pool.

Here is an ROV as it heads out from the deck.

This ROV is performing some underwater acrobatics.

Here is the view from the camera mounted on the ROV.  It's really amazing how clear the picture on the monitor appears.

Here are a couple ROVs "jousting" over some of the sunken "T's" that they needed to retrieve. Many groups had fun with some ROV battles. However, this did result in a motor becoming detached from an ROV.
